Join Laura Blaquière, Human Resources Advisor with the Public Service Commission (Government of Canada), for this informative session. Laura will share insight into the recruitment and hiring process for employment opportunities with the Public Service Commission. Laura will share her career journey in the Public Service and provide insight into how you might define your future path to a successful public service career in a wide variety of occupations.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions about how to apply and gain insight into the recruitment process with the Public Service Commission! 

Please note: This is a general information session. A second, additional session will take place on Tuesday, November 19th at 2:00 PM (Newfoundland time) for candidates with disabilities. Both sessions will take place virtually and registrants will be sent a link to the session on the morning of the 18th.


SPEAKER BIO:

Laura Blaquiere:

Laura Blaquiere is a Human Resources (HR) Advisor with the Public Service Commission of Canada. Laura started as a co-op student in the Learning and Programs HR unit with Public Services and Procurement Canada. She has worked over 16 years with the Government of Canada and has had the opportunity to work with four different departments and agencies: Public Services and Procurement Canada, Canada Border Services Agency, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and the Public Service Commission of Canada. Laura has worked in various fields of HR including learning and programs, official languages, employment equity and diversity, classification and organizational design, and recruitment. Her current role that's she's occupied since September 2021 specializes in recruitment, outreach, and engagement for the Atlantic Region. Laura works with students, graduates, the public, and military members retiring from the military looking to transition into the Public Service.
